Update: Daffaa Amounts Are Now in Whole Pounds — Why 57.15 Becomes 57
03 Nov 2026 · 2 min read · 21 views
InstaPay and Vodafone Cash can't send piasters, so Daffaa now shows every amount your customer has to pay in whole pounds and matches confirmations on whole pounds. An invoice of EGP 57.15 now tells the customer to send 57, which ends the "the amount didn't match" confusion.
What changed
- The invoice pay page: the "Send Amount" card, the Payment line and the Total now show the same whole-pound number.
- The invoice page and invoice list in your dashboard.
- Daffaa's own plan prices on the subscribe page, the landing page and inside the Android app.
The rule: piasters are dropped, not rounded
57.15 becomes 57, and 57.90 also becomes 57. An amount below one pound is shown as 1, never 0.
How confirmation matches
Wallet confirmation by sender number ignores piasters, so a 57.15 invoice is confirmed by a 57 transfer (58 is accepted too). InstaPay confirmation by reference accepts a difference of up to one pound. On your public store page the customer types the amount they sent, and matching there is on whole pounds as well.
Example
An invoice of EGP 1,250.75 shows "Send Amount: 1,250". The customer sends 1,250 by Vodafone Cash, enters the number they sent from and presses Confirm Payment, and the invoice is marked paid. You receive 1,250, which is why pricing in whole pounds matters.
What did not change
- The stored invoice amount stays exactly as created.
- API responses and callbacks still return the original amount you sent.
- Amounts in other currencies, such as a USD panel balance, display as before.
What you should do
- Price in whole pounds where you can: a 249.99 item will be paid as 249.
- Round API invoice amounts yourself before creating them.
- Tell customers to send exactly the amount shown, without piasters.
- Reconcile using the amounts actually received in Transactions.
